Proof of reserves, checked on chain

A proof-of-reserves page is a claim. Published wallet addresses turn it into something anyone can verify at any time, and this site does: every build reads the addresses of the exchanges below on chain and sets what they hold against what the exchange says it owes its users. Everything else on this page is the standing of every other venue — a signed attestation, a page, a report with nothing to show, or none.

Open audit

Held is what the addresses hold on chain at build time; owed is what the venue's own file says its users are owed at its latest snapshot. A coin is judged only when the chains read here carry nearly all of what the venue lists for it; the rest is shown as partly readable and decides nothing. For a monthly snapshot a gap inside ten percent is movement since it was taken, not a shortfall. How the check works.

Reported, no link

CoinMarketCap reports a proof-of-reserves page and none could be found at any address tried. An unverifiable claim of reserves is the shape a fabricated one takes; it scores 0 on the reserves signal until a page exists. A further 51 venues are unknown either way and 65 are reported as publishing nothing.

What this page is not

Reading an exchange's wallets proves what those wallets hold. It does not prove the exchange has no other liabilities, that every customer is in its Merkle tree, or that the wallets are unencumbered. That is why the open audit sits at the top of a scale rather than being the whole of it, and why the reserves signal is one of nine in the exchange ranking.

Figures from the 24 September 2026 build. Addresses are re-read every six hours; snapshots and address files are the venues' own, cached per report.
